Roehlke Elected Chairman of F. M. Howell & Company
ELMIRA, NY – At its meeting on December 17, 2015, F. M. Howell & Company’s Board of Directors elected Katherine H. Roehlke, President & CEO since 2008 and director since 2004, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Roehlke succeeds her father George L. Howell, who died on November 22, 2015 and served as Chairman since 2001. Howell had completed 60 years of active service at the time of his death. Roehlke is the fourth generation to lead the 132nd year-old family-owned business. She has nearly 30 years of service, having served in numerous capacities during her tenure with the company.
A graduate of Bucknell University and the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School, Roehlke serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Elmira Savings Bank, Southern Tier Economic Growth, Inc., and the Paperboard Packaging Council. She also serves as an Elder and Treasurer of Lake Street Presbyterian Church.
Founded in Elmira in 1883, F. M. Howell & Company provides packaging products and services to the pharmaceutical, industrial, and consumer products industries.
